Bibbulmun Track
One of the world's great long-distance walks
The Bibbulmun Track stretches 1,000km from Kalamunda to Albany, winding through the heart of WA's South West. The Schafer Hut campsite — a key overnight stop on the track — is just 300 metres from our gate.
Whether you're a section walker, a day tripper, or completing the full end-to-end journey, Karri Hill Cottages is perfectly positioned as your base, resupply point, or well-earned rest stop. We can arrange washing facilities, supply drops, and transport coordination for walkers.

Munda Biddi Trail
1,000km of off-road cycling through karri forest
The Munda Biddi Trail — meaning "path through the forest" in Noongar — runs 1,000km from Mundaring to Albany, passing directly through the Karri Hill Cottages gate. One of the world's longest off-road cycling trails.
We have a small number of bikes available for guests to use on the property and surrounding forest roads. For cyclists on the trail, we offer a welcome rest, laundry by arrangement, and resupply coordination.

Warren River
Crystal-clear water through ancient karri
The Warren River is one of the South West's most beautiful natural escapes — clear, dark-tinted water winding through towering karri forest, with granite boulders, swimming holes, and the sound of nothing but birdsong.
Ideal for a summer afternoon swim, a paddle, or a slow walk along the river banks. The golden afternoon light through the karri canopy makes it one of the most photogenic spots in the region.

Windy Harbour
Wild Southern Ocean coastline at its most dramatic
Windy Harbour sits on the edge of the Southern Ocean — rugged limestone cliffs, powerful surf, and a sense of true remoteness that's hard to find elsewhere in WA. The turquoise water against the ochre rock is extraordinary.
Come for salmon fishing off the rocks, whale watching in season (June–October), or simply to stand at the cliff edge and feel the full force of the Southern Ocean. Part of D'Entrecasteaux National Park.

How to find us
262 Karri Hill Road, Northcliffe WA 6262
Between Northcliffe and Pemberton — 12km from Northcliffe, 28km from Pemberton. Approximately 4 hours from Perth.
Follow road signs to "Karri Hill Cottages" (previously Watermark Kilns). The Bibbulmun Track's Schafer Hut is 300m away — if you're arriving on foot, you can't miss us.
No mobile reception? Telstra has pockets of outdoor reception in the area. Starlink WiFi is available inside all cottages. If you can't reach us, head to the first house on Tobacco Rd, off Karri Hill Road — 400m south.
